Finding the Right Dog Breed for You! Your perfect man or woman may never be discovered, but you can find your perfect dog. There are lots of options when choosing a dog breed that’s right for you- from size, temperament, interests, energy level you choose your best mate. 1: Look around your home and determine what size full grown dog you can accommodate comfortably. Consider the variables will a large tail wager destroying any valuable possessions or will a tiny toy minnie get lost in all your spaciousness. 2: What role will your new companion fill? Will he or she be an only child, first born, or a new sibling for your children? 3:Update your monthly budget to include your furry friend, taking into account the price of the dog, the expense of food and supplies, training, and routine veterinary checkups. 4:Select a breed that matches your personality and energy level, one that you have the appropriate time to care for. All breeds require attention and exercise. Ponder whether or not the breed is typically easy to train and how much grooming is required. 5: Choose a reputable breeder or shelter to purchase your dog from. Spend time at the shelter or breeders getting acquainted with the dog if you plan to purchase an adult dog. A dog lives anywhere from 10-15 years (and even longer if you're lucky!) and it needs all the care and love in the world!
