Dogs Training - Work for What You Want
The Nothing In Life Is Free (NILIF) is an approach and style of dog training that is effective on a wide range of dog behavior problems. NILIF works for timid dogs that withdraw, aggressive dogs that take charge, and all the dogs that fall somewhere in between. Fearful, shy dogs become more confident and secure after learning their place in the pecking order. Knowing their place provides self-assurance that they have no worries, as they are not in control. NILIF works similarly for aggressive or anxious dogs that struggle to be dominant as they learn the pack leader’s position is not open for grabs.
Once your dog has mastered a basic dog commands, "Sit," "Down," and "Stay" you can begin to practice "Nothing In Life Is Free." The principle style is simple – nothing is free and everything must be earned. Before you give your dog anything (food, a treat, a walk, a pat on the head) he must first perform a command he has learned. Most dogs assume a neutral or submissive role toward people, but some dogs will challenge their owners for dominance. Making a dominant dog work for what he wants is a non-confrontational way of establishing control. Believe it or not, training a dog does not require large chunks of time. In fact, short daily training sessions, 10 minutes here and there are actually extremely effective at teaching dogs new tricks. Surprisingly, allotting just a few extra minutes for training your dog before feeding his meals will prove plenty of time to teach your dog new tricks. |

Teaching your dog to behave better because he trusts and accepts you as his leader and is confident knowing his place in the family.
